The Seaport welcomes around 250,000 visitors each year.
The Mystic seaport museum, once known as the ‘Marine Historical Association,’ was founded in 1929. It became even more famous after it acquired the fabled Charles W. The Mystic Seaport is also home to a number of other iconic vessels such as the Emma C. Berry, Sabino, L.A. Dunton, and many others.
Visitors/tourists can choose to take a tour of the shipyard and view the ships or visit on any of the days that are penciled in for various events such as Viking legends and constellations (A day for Viking stories), Racing Rules of Sailing for beginners (A day for teaching visitors how to sail) and many other events.
