Other 4 years, 5 months agoThe US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) On Thursday, 12/12/2019, Approved A 3 Digits Suicide Prevention Hotline Number, 988, To Help Improve Mental Health Support, Reduce Stigma, Save Lives, and Ease The Pressure On The 911 Number. Some Folks Also Want Texting Capability Added To The Hotline For Young People Who Seem To Prefer It.
Three-digit suicide prevention hotline – 988 – given green light in US – BBC NewsWhen operational, the 988 number will replace a 12-digit hotline, making it easier to get help.
