1) GAMIRASU HOTEL:
We begin our journey in Ayvali, Turkey. Located near the heart of Cappadocia, the Gamirasu Cave Hotel was erected during the Byzantine Era as a monastic retreat. Today, the hotel boasts 35 meticulously restored rooms that are built directly into the cave walls. A night spent in one of these rooms is a night spent submerged in a 5 thousand year history. However, these are most definitely not cavemen digs. Each room is more luxurious than the last and offers all of today’s modern comforts.
